Owner and designer Jane Evans continues to develop the Clementine brand to reflect the lifestyle she knows so many women share. A collection of comfortable yet stylish garments for relaxed weekend wear or to slip into after coming home from a busy day was needed. Jane's vision is to keep the unique style of sleepwear, whilst still using beautiful quality fabrics that wash well and feel good to wear; and at the same time maintaining the quality that Clementine Sleepwear is renowned for.

Clementine Sleepwear began in 2002, when previous owners Tracey and Judy identified a gap in the market for women who had matured past the “cute and sexy” stage but weren’t ready for the “neck to knee” look either. Women like themselves who couldn’t find beautiful yet affordable and practical sleepwear anywhere. They decided to develop a range of garments that could be worn not just for sleeping but for lounging around the home, travelling, or staying with friends. Garments that not only look great, but have attention to detail and fit, and launder well too.

The girls decided that natural breathable fabrics were a must. New knit fabrics are now available such as Modal which is made from reconstituted cellulose or plant fibre and ecologically sourced Bamboo which has the same silky soft texture. Both of these are highly absorbent, have a luxurious, soft feel and are often stronger than cotton knit fibres which can react more to heat and light. For women who like the feel of soft woven cotton as opposed to a knit, only the best quality voile and cotton sateen are used in our classic nighties, pyjamas and robes.

Sizing has to be realistic. Clementine Sleepwear garments are available in Sizes S–XXXL (S size 8-10, M size 12-14, L size 14-16, XL size 16-18, XXL size 18-20 and a few XXXL) and the fit of these sizes are for real women with plenty of room in the bust and a long rise in the pant. Comfort and practicality without compromising style is a consideration in every garment which means that Clementine Sleepwear will always make the wearer feel special.
